Business Case:
As per the SAP Latest strategy and license implications for
support from SAP, the customers are required to migrate from
the SAP Business Connector to the new Exchange
Infrastructure or Process Integration in offering. However
the risk is the the problem of minimizing the impacts of
moving the already existing interfaces from SAP BC to XI.
Solution:
The Data Systems Integration XI Migration Tool. Based on
defined processes and scenarios the tool can cut short the
migration project life cycles and reduce the migration
risks.
As-Is Analysis: In the first phase we run the analysis
of existing scenario to know the different interfaces implemented within the
Business Connector, in particular as far as the Data Transformation and
Message Routing logics and the activation procedures are concerned.
To-Be Model: To-Be scenario of the SAP XI-based flows is defined based on
as-is results. Here any components which can be directly reused within SAP
XI (XLS transformations) are identified.
Proof of Concept: A Sample run of the tool to use the AS is and To be
models and a Proto type is generated and the most significant cases are
identified and their feasibility on SAP XI is checked.
Final Conversion: Once the Proof of Concept works we run the final tool
flow to do the SAP BC to XI Conversion.
